How scoring works Each ticked system is weighted 1–3× by how critical it is for the selected industry (e.g. SIS and OT Security weight 3× in Oil & Gas; Drives weight 3× in Mining). A vendor's portfolio strength per system is rated: Core = 8+ product lines, Present = 3–7, Limited = 1–2, None = 0. Fit % = weighted strength ÷ weighted maximum, across all ticked systems. Untick systems your plant doesn't need to sharpen the ranking.

What does each status mean?

New Release — A product version that has just launched and is available for new projects.

Currently Supported — Actively maintained by the vendor. Safe to run and supported for new installations.

End of Life — The vendor has stopped or is stopping patches and support. Action required: plan your migration before security risks increase.

Migration Path — A vendor-approved upgrade route from a legacy or EOL product to a current version.

Upcoming — Announced by the vendor but not yet released. No firm date confirmed.

How is this data updated? Chanord manually reviews public vendor bulletins, product lifecycle pages, press releases, and security advisories (such as Siemens PM-notices and Honeywell product alerts) on a monthly basis. End-of-life announcements are added as soon as published. This is not a live feed — always verify critical dates directly with your vendor before making procurement or migration decisions.
